After deciding that we will build a self-driving golf cart, it’s time to buy a golf cart! Craiglist is the natural place to go. After several insulting phone calls from disrespectful callers, we finally narrowed it down to a Yamaha Electric.

This 1,000$ beast is not perfect, namely, the front cover is broken and one of the seat backs is eroded. Personally, I think we paid a little too much for this thing. But a normal golf cart cost around 3-4k. It will do the job!

The ’09s beast is not perfect, several broken/decayed parts

Michael and I had a really good time driving this around his house.

At the end of the day, we realized that we have a lot of things to do. We have absolutely no idea how to control the steering, accelerator, brakes. I am sure we will figure it out.
